Christine S. Chun, ARNP

Christine went into medicine for a simple reason: she enjoys helping and caring for people. As a family nurse practitioner, she provides care holistically and believes that mental health is just as important as physical health.
Shared decision-making is central to Christine’s approach. “I always try to remain present with my patients, to listen to them and to help them in the best way that I can,” she says. “But my most important role is to provide patients with the tools they need to direct their own health.”
Born in South Korea, Christine came to the United States as a youngster and grew up in Southern California. She completed her education there, earning bachelor’s degrees in nursing and in intercultural studies from Biola University and a master’s degree in nursing from Azusa Pacific University. Prior to joining Providence Medical Group, she practiced rural medicine on the Oregon Coast.
Christine’s passion for volunteer work has taken her on multiple medical mission trips across the globe, from the Philippines to Mexico and Zambia. When she’s not working or volunteering, she enjoys spending time outdoors, exploring new places, and cooking and eating good food.
