Kevin Cowan, MD

Dr. Kevin Cowan is a General Surgeon. Since Kevin first started to pursue a career in medicine in 2009 he has spent innumerable hours to achieve a world class medical education. His medical career started off at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine where he received his doctorate of medicine. After medical school, he spent an additional 5 years training in acute care, trauma and general surgery at Kaweah Health hospital in California. In addition to the basic requirements for medical training, he also spent several years performing basic science research to further medical knowledge. Kevin has recently completed residency training and is up to date with the newest techniques and treatment strategies that surgery has to offer. Kevin now joins us in Hobbs and we are proud that he provides a broad breadth of surgical care for our community. Even today, Kevin spends the majority of his time on the practice of medicine. He prides himself in staying up today with the most recent guidelines and surgical techniques. Aside from this, he enjoys spending time with his wife and children.
