Whitni N. Friberg, PAC

The decision to become a physician assistant was largely driven by Whitni’s passion for working with people and giving back to her community. She is fascinated with cardiac physiology and the complexities to help patients living with heart disease navigate how to live their best life possible through medications, technological advances and lifestyle changes. She shares a sincere desire to deliver care that is compassionate and proactive by listening to patient questions and concerns. She works to create a collaborative environment to personalize treatment plans and help her patients understand their medical condition, so they can be advocates for their own health. For Whitni, “there is nothing better than empowering my patients to be involved in their care plan to help them improve quality of life.”

Whitni’s interest in science and understanding how the human body works made the field of medicine a natural career path. Upon completion of undergraduate studies with Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA, she pursued her Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Pacific University in Forest Grove, OR. Her clinical experience as part of the Physician Assistant rotations included primary care, internal medicine, family medicine, inpatient medicine, emergency medicine, vascular surgery and community medicine-general surgery. Whitni is certified with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).

Having grown up in Vancouver, Washington, Whitni enjoys many of the outdoor activities you’d expect of a Pacific Northwest native, such as cross country skiing, camping, hiking the waterfalls, paddleboarding, gardening and the world-renowned food carts. Most importantly, sharing these activities with her family and her mini goldendoodle, Lemon.
