About Harminder P. Gandhok
Dr. Harminder Gandhok grew up in Chandigarh, India. In 1999, he graduated from Government Medical College in Chandigarh, India and then moved to the United States to continue his education and training. Dr. Gandhok did his Internal Medicine Residency at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan (May 2001- May 2004). He continued at St. Johns and was honored to be selected chief resident in Internal Medicine (June 2004- June 2005). From 2005-2009, Dr. Gandhok completed his cardiovascular and interventional cardiology fellowship. Dr. Harminder Gandhok joined the Cascade Cardiology team in July 2009. Dr. Gandhok is an interventional cardiologist. His special areas of interest include diagnosis and treatment of atherosclerotic heart disease, coronary angiogram and intervention, peripheral angiography and intervention as well as cardiac imaging. He is board certified in cardiovascular diseases, interventional cardiology and internal medicine. He is a member of Mid-Valley Independent Physicians Association (MVIPA), American College of Cardiology (ACC) and the Oregon Medical Association (OMA). Dr. Gandhok is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and Fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI). Dr. Gandhok is a member of the medical staff at Salem Hospital and Silverton Hospital. He is also Assistant Professor of Medicine at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) and is affiliated with St. Vincent’s Hospital in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Gandhok and his wife, Dr. Jaswinder Kaur, have two young children, Puneet and Simran. They enjoy skiing, tennis and travel.
