Emily L. Kempf, ARNP

Emily Kempf, NP-C, is a nurse practitioner at Kadlec Clinic Cardiothoracic Surgery. Emily earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks in 2009 and was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau honor’s society. She received her master’s degree in nursing as nurse practitioner at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Wash., in 2013. Prior to joining the team at Kadlec, Emily worked as a cardiovascular nurse in Boise, Idaho and a cardiovascular Nurse Practitioner in Denver, CO. With 12 years of experience in cardiovascular medicine, Emily has focused her medical training on acute critical care management of pre and post-operative cardiothoracic surgical patients, and management of aneurysmal disease; and is instrumental in managing the care of patients with cardiovascular/cardiothoracic disease and conditions. Emily is a board-certified family nurse practitioner, a board-certified registered nurse and a board-certified cardiac-vascular nurse. Emily has also received a special certification in Cardiac Surgical-Advanced Life Support from The Society of Thoracic Surgeons. In her free time, Emily is an avid skier and traveler. Her most memorable travels have been to Africa and South America where she helped develop clinics for populations lacking access to care.
