About Luis E. Scheker

Luis Scheker, MD, follows a simple care philosophy: to provide each patient with the same level of care he would extend to his own family. "I feel privileged each day by the trust that patients place in me, and I work as hard as I can to meet and exceed their expectations," he says.

In his practice, Dr. Scheker emphasizes communication between physician and patient. "I help patients to learn and understand the nature of their skin conditions so that together we can decide on the best treatment plan," he says.

Dr. Scheker received his medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. He completed his internship at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana, and his residency in dermatology at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland.

Dr. Scheker was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and speaks both Spanish and English. His hobbies include playing jazz piano and saxophone, watching movies and traveling.
