About Mackenzie E. Reminger-Carpenter
Dr. Mackenzie Reminger-Carpenter is a family medicine physician. Her passions include helping patients navigate chronic diseases, women’s health, pediatrics, and preventative medicine. She is originally from Boise, Idaho, and completed her undergraduate education at University of Portland. She then worked at a skilled nursing facility in Bremerton, Washington, for a few years. At the nursing facility, she worked with patients and their families, which strengthened her desire to enter a career in medicine. She went on to attend the University of Washington School of Medicine, which is well-known for its focus on primary care. She grew to appreciate the importance of primary care and the doctor-patient relationship. About joining Providence and living in Alaska, Dr. Reminger-Carpenter says, "I feel so blessed to be able to work in beautiful Alaska! My partner, Cody, and I love being outdoors and going on new adventures with our Chiweenie (Tater) and Malaburnikita (Chuli)."
