Steven J. Korenstein, MD

Dr. Korenstein was born and raised in southern California where he completed his undergraduate degree in environmental biology and a master's degree in environmental and occupational health at California State University, Northridge. Before entering the medical profession he served as an environmental health specialist for the Los Angeles Unified School District and as a staff scientist for the California Environmental Protection Agency where, along with his other duties, studied and published in the area of environmental exposures which cause lung disease. Dr. Korenstein obtained his medical degree at Ross University School of Medicine and completed residency in Family Medicine at Mercy Health Systems in Janesville Wisconsin. After finishing residency in 2012, Dr. Korenstein joined the faculty in the department of Family Medicine at Mercy and spent several months training new residents. He is married and spends most of his free time chasing his two children and his dogs (sometimes the other way around.) He and his family enjoy traveling, hiking, camping, and most sports, though you may just find him in any local hammock. If so, leave him be, he is exhausted!
