Luis A. Cousin, MD

Dr. Cousin started at Ole Health in December 2022. He received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota at Minneapolis in 1983. He completed his undergraduate degree in Zoology in 1976 at the University of California Berkeley. Prior to coming to Ole Health, Dr. Cousin worked in private practice in Bakersfield California until December 2021. In the interim period he worked for La Clinica de la Raza in Vallejo California. Dr. Cousin is Board Certified in Family Medicine and has special interest in the treatment of Endocrine disorders as well as Cardiovascular disorders. Dr. Cousin’s philosophy is to treat each patient with respect and dignity while taking a comprehensive approach to their medical problems. Since early childhood, Dr. Cousin wanted to pursue medicine in order to help everyone in need of medical care regardless of their ability to pay. Dr. Cousin moved to Napa in December 2021 to be closer to family and in particular spending time with his grandchildren. He was born in El Salvador and emigrated to the United States in 1965 at the age of 13. Dr. Cousin loves to travel and collects wines. He loves to entertain his grandchildren at home and likes to walk his dog. He also prioritizes his medical knowledge by dedicating a significant amount of time staying current through medical education courses in order to always meet the standard of care for all his patients.
