About Vanessa Vanderpool
Dr. Vanessa Vanderpool is a family medicine physician who practices obstetrics and gynecology; she does not practice as a primary care provider.
"As a physician, I have the privilege and honor of helping others during both their best and most vulnerable moments," says Dr. Vanessa Vanderpool. "I believe my most important role is listening to my patients while providing support and guidance during these times to help them make decisions about their health care." In her practice, Dr. Vanderpool emphasizes patient education and a greater understanding of health conditions to create collaborative relationships with her patients.
After earning her medical degree from from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Dr, Vanderpool completed her internship and residency at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland. She is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. Born and raised in Louisiana, Dr. Vanderpool was drawn to the Pacific Northwest by its people, culture and natural beauty. She loves living in Portland with her husband, children and family dog. In her off time, she enjoys traveling, gardening, cooking and reading novels.
