Erin Shawn, RN, became a nurse practitioner because she wanted to provide primary care to individuals and families. "Over the years working as a primary care provider, my focus became more and more about women's health and pediatrics," she says. "It became clear to me that my true passion was caring for mothers and infants. This is what ultimately led me to becoming an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant."

In her practice, Erin wants to provide evidence-based health care and empower families to ask questions. "I enjoy connecting with patients by hearing their stories, allowing me to become a better caregiver," Erin said.

Erin earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the Yale School of Nursing. She is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and International Board of Certified Lactation Consultants. Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Erin moved to the Pacific Northwest to attend college. She was a Peace Corps volunteer in Bolivia and is fluent in Spanish. In her free time, Erin enjoys spending time with family, gardening, traveling and enjoying the outdoors.
