Heena S. Doshi, MD

Dr Doshi is an excellent PCP. She understands the patients worries and gives clear advice on what steps to take to lead a healthy life. Her treatment methods are taken together with the patient and she makes sure that that any path taken is fully understood and with the agreement of the patient. She has been my PCP for the past 25 years and I hope that this will continue.

Dr Doshi is very well informed and always listens carefully. She also knows the family situation and is genuinely interested.

Dr Doshi is smart, kind, caring and compassionate. She has helped me navigate my breast cancer diagnosis by recommending the best specialists for me. Her staff respond via the web site messaging promptly. The only thing I would have liked done differently is to have the results of my bloodwork done before my appointment. This way we can address any issues thoroughly. As it stands, due to scheduling, I need to wait a month before having the blood work done.

Sometimes good, sometimes not so great.

I wish I had more time and so I can cover everything I have questions for (if I can remember or I just write them down). I sometimes leave kicking myself for not getting an answer to something. I would like to be prescribed fewer medications and have alternative medicine referred such as herbal supplements or acupuncture. I believe this is a Providence topic/request, not necessarily Dr. Doshi. She's informed, kind and so caring. I truly feel that she genuinely cares for my health.

Dr Doshi is always very professional although a bit quick. I ask for an extended visit so I can get all my needs met.

My husband and I switched to Providence two years ago and have had an excellent health care team ever since! This most recent visit was my first check-up in a while, but the whole care team made me feel welcome and cared for.

The way I filled out my request on line for an appointment needed clarifacation. I received a call that expedited my appointment. Very nice.

Dr. Doshi listened and also directed me to new BHW team which I know has a big part of my gut problem.

It was nice that the visit was on time and didn't see rushed.

The folks at the front desk are warm, caring, knowledgeable, and get things done quickly. When I need to get in to see my PCP or need an answer to a wuestion they find out promptly and get back to me. Dr. Doshi responds to my requests for info or a referral in a speedy manner. She spends time listening to me, gives credibikity to my observations about a health Issue, doesn't shame me If I haven't followed through, and is very supportive. All which allows me to approach her and her office when I have a health concern. They are all pretty great!

I felt that Dr. Doshi spent ample time with me - this was a first visit. I did not feel rushed.

Bad experience was I was without one of my medications for almost 5 months between her and insurance company. the good experience is that I'm rebuilding my confidence in her. I saw another doctor there and he got the needed medication within a couple of hours. In about 2 hours after seeing him I received a text from walgreen that my prescription was ready to pickup. I was so greatful to him for his knowledge and care.

Dr. Doshi and this clinic have been a pleasure to work with. Much more responsive to care needs than our previous doctor and clinic. I.e. Flu shot opportunities, willing to respond to concerns or even bring them up. Staff available to respond when Dr. Doshi is not available. Well done Dr. Doshi.

After a visit to ER, I tried to book an appointment online and available appointments were 14 days out. On a Saturday evening I spoke to an emergency nurse and she could book an appointment for me at 1.30 on the following Monday. In addition, I love Dr Doshi, and I think she's great, but it is clear that she doesn't have enough time to talk to patients and over the years that I have known her it has become more challenging to talk to her about the nuances of my health experience. She has to go so FAST through our appointment and doesn't have time to explain things either at all, or clearly to me so I often leave wondering what just happened and unclear on my health situation. For example, going through the menopause. I can imagine that dealing with the general public becomes a chore after a while, but she needs to have an opportunity to SLOW DOWN and really listen / talk to her patients. On Monday I had an extended appointment about my visit to the ER, and I would have loved to have asked a few questions.
