About Paul D. Anderson
Dr. Anderson received his B.A. in biology from Carleton College where he graduated magna cum laude and excelled as a distance runner on the cross country and track & field teams. After a year doing genetics research at the NIH, Dr. Anderson returned to his home state of Montana to begin medical school through the University of Washington’s WWAMI program. He was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society prior to earning his MD degree from the University of Washington in 2007. He then completed his residency and chief residency in internal medicine at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire before coming to Oregon to begin his gastroenterology training at OHSU.

Dr. Anderson continues to enjoy distance running, but is counting down the days until he can no longer beat his daughters in a foot race. He lives in Portland with his wife, two daughters, and two rambunctious labradoodles. Other interests include woodworking, skiing, hiking, and Trail Blazers basketball.
