About Laura A. Bonneau

Dr. Bonneau brings to the Inland Northwest expertise and restoration of normal function, improving quality of life and independence through hand and wrist, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgery. She enjoys collaborating with other members of the health care team. Born and raised in Wisconsin, Dr. Bonneau obtained her undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Wisconsin-Lacrosse. Upon graduation she conducted gene therapy research at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle. Pursuing further interest in biological science, she ran a research lab for the United States Antarctic Program at McMurdo Station, Antarctica. Upon returning to the United States, she heeded the call to medicine, completing her medical school and plastic surgery training at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. In 2013, she returned to the Northwest to complete a Hand Surgery Fellowship at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, OR.

Dr. Bonneau is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha and the Gold Humanism Honor Societies. It is rare to be elected for membership in both organizations. In addition to her strong surgical skills, Dr. Bonneau is often recognized for her open, compassionate patient care and innate ability to develop high quality, effective physician/patient relationships. Throughout her education and training, she received accolades and awards for her bedside manner, leadership, community service, and teaching.

Having spent time in Washington, Montana, Colorado, and Oregon, and possessing a love for the mountains, the Inland Northwest felt like home from Dr. Bonneau’s first visit. She, her husband, and their two young children are happily settling into their lives in Spokane.

Dr. Bonneau is proud of the work she does.
