Jarrod P. Holmes, MD

After joining the United States Navy, Dr. Jarrod Holmes completed his medical degree at Duke University School of Medicine and did his Residency in Internal Medicine at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, where he also served as Chief of Residents. He completed a fellowship in Hematology/Oncology with the National Capitol Consortium in Bethesda, Maryland, a combined program of the National Naval Medical Center and Walter Reed Army Medical Center. This included time at the Uniformed Services University for the Health Sciences, working in the Cancer Vaccine Development Lab.

Dr. Holmes is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Medical Oncology. He was elected as a Fellow of the American College of Physicians for his accomplishments in research and academics. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology, and American Association for Cancer Research. During his 11 years in the Navy, he earned a Navy/Marine Corps Commendation as well as an Army Commendation among numerous other decorations.

Dr. Holmes has been a collaborating investigator with the Cancer Vaccine Development Program since 2006. His special area of interest has been the role of breast cancer vaccines in the prevention of breast cancer recurrence. He is extensively published and has made numerous presentations related to his vaccine work. Dr. Holmes, his wife and two children will reside in Santa Rosa.
