About Divyanshoo R. Kohli
Div Kohli, MD is an advanced gastrointestinal endoscopist working at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, WA who serves as an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Washington State University’s Elson Floyd School of Medicine. Dr. Kohli takes exceptional and compassionate care of patients with diverse medical problems. He is a prolific researcher with expertise in advanced endoscopic interventions, gastrointestinal oncology, endo-hepatology, and management of PEG tubes. Dr. Kohli has served on the standards of practice committee at the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy where he developed guidelines and best practices for clinicians. He was the lead author for evidence-based guidelines and best practices for patients with feeding tubes as well as biliary strictures after liver transplant. He has authored over 75 research papers in top-tier journals and his work has been extensively cited. He has also received funding and multiple awards for his leading-edge clinical research and trials. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Kohli serves the governance board and the examination committee of the Gastroenterology and Hepatology section of the American Board of Internal Medicine. He has received commendations for his extraordinary performance and exemplary work at the ABIM. He is a fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Dr. Kohli received his medical degree from Government Medical College Chandigarh, India, and completed his internship and residency in Internal medicine from Georgetown University-Washington Hospital Center, Washington DC. He then completed his fellowship in Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition from Virginia Commonwealth University where he also served as Chief fellow. He then went on to complete an advanced endoscopy fellowship at the Mayo Clinic, AZ. He previously served as the Director of Endoscopy at the Kansas City VA Medical Center, MO and as an adjunct faculty for the Gastroenterology and Hepatology fellowship program at Kansas University School of Medicine, KS.
