About Ronald J. Dworkin
As an infectious disease physician, Dr. Ron Dworkin believes his most important role is to improve the quality of care for his patients and those cared for at Providence. "I really emphasize communication with my patients," says Dr. Dworkin. "It's what I would want physicians to do for my family."
He chose the field of infectious disease for its intellectually challenging nature. "I entered medical school the year the first AIDS patients were identified," says Dr. Dworkin. "I've experienced the highs and lows taking care of HIV from the beginning of the epidemic."
Dr. Dworkin earned his medical degree from Mt. Sinai School of Medicine in New York City and completed his residency at the University of California, San Francisco. He also completed fellowship training at Mt. Zion hospital in San Francisco.
In his spare time, Dr. Dworkin enjoys cycling, fishing and hunting with his dog, Juliet.

Great doctor and kind and easy to understand!
Providence Patient
Efficient, friendly and knowledgeable providers and staff. Only issue needing attention is inability to set up my next annual visit with my Primary Care physician. Why can't this be done online or at completion of this year's annual visit?

Providence Patient
The Dr caught that one of my medications would cause serious (perhaps life-threatening) side effects with Yellow Fever vaccine. I am so grateful he looked at my medications list and caught that.
