About George A. Diaz

Dr. Diaz completed his medical residency and also served as a Chief Medical Resident at at the University of Utah. He has been practicing Infectious Diseases at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett (PRMCE) since completing his training in Infectious Diseases at the University of Washington in 2005. He is currently practicing as a hospital based Infectious Diseases provider. Additionally, he is the Division Chief of Medicine at PRMCE. He also works for Providence St. Joseph Health as a System Provider Informaticist, which focuses on improving the Infectious Diseases care of patients by improving the electronic medical record. In his free time, he provides service to the Infectious Diseases Society of America as a spokesman, former member of the Clinical Affairs Committee and the fellow mentoring program. He also serves as a member of the Epic Infectious Diseases Steering Board (based in Wisconsin). He has an appointment as Clinical Professor at the Washington State University College of Medicine and is the Specialty Education Coordinator in Infectious Diseases for the WSU Internal Medicine Residency. His clinical research primarily focuses on COVID-19 therapeutics.
