About Jacob P. Casey
Jacob Casey, MD, loves connecting with people. In his medical practice, he emphasizes that personal connection by building a level of trust and encouraging patients to reach their full potential. “I chose primary care because it supports people to get healthy and stay healthy,” he says.
With a patient-centered philosophy of care, Dr. Casey believes that his role is to be a companion to patients as they journey through life. “Patients are their own best advocates,” he observes. “That’s why when they take charge of their health, they can achieve the most profound changes in their lives.” Dr. Casey feels fortunate to work with patients from diverse backgrounds and is proud to be a LGBTQ-friendly provider who welcomes all.
Dr. Casey earned his medical degree from the University of Washington’s School of Medicine in Seattle and went on to complete his internship and residency training at Providence’s Internal Medicine Residency Program. He has served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Jordan.
Born in California and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Dr. Casey loves and values time with his immediate family. When not at work, he also enjoys weight lifting, running, classical music, coffee, and spending time at the beach.

Dr. Jacob Casey is a wonderful doctor. He listens and responds to concerns, and is excellent at communication. I asked about an unusual medical issue and he was very well informed. This office obviously sees a lot of people, but the staff is always polite. My lab work gets done promptly and I am notified of the results.

Although I understand the healthcare system is stressed and understaffed in Oregon, 6 months seems like an excessively long time to establish care.

I loved the visit with Dr. Casey, he is fantastic and I hope that I will be able to see him for a long time. The only negative marks I gave were based on the wait time to get a 'New' patient appointment. I waited 4-5 months to see a primary care provider. I did use Bridge Team services in the interim which was wonderful, I just think waiting over 12 weeks to get in with a provider to establish care is extremely long. I do however understand there is a shortage in the field so I do not blame anyone at all, I am simply giving feedback so hopefully wait times can improve when able. Also, the Bridge Team is AMAZING! I don't know what I would have done without them so I am thankful that I was able to have continued care during the waiting period! Thank you to everyone!!

He asked questions to clarify information, answered my questions clearly and succinctly, was interested in helping me with my health care, made a referral, and promptly finished the patient visit summary on My Chart for my review. We also scheduled my annual Wellness Exam.
