Dr. Le appreciates that gastroenterology offers tangible and intangible ways to have an impact on patients’ lives, whether it’s cancer prevention or finding an optimal diet to improve quality of life. As a gastroenterologist, Dr. Le often meets patients who are sharing for the first time intimate details about disruptions in basic activities. Eating and toileting are daily activities we all do to function as human beings and many of us take them for granted, not realizing it can be challenging for others. Dr. Le aims to create a comfortable and compassionate space where patients can share these issues and normalize them so that they can find solutions together and without judgment. Dr. Le gets satisfaction from patients telling her that they appreciate being heard.
