Maryanne B. Garvie-Loveland, MD

Dr. Garvie-Loveland grew up in Portland and attended St. Mary's Academy. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame. Medical school brought her to Dublin, Ireland where she attended University College Dublin School of Medicine. While in medical school, she earned the academic gold medal in obstetrics and gynecology from the Irish National Maternity hospital. She then returned to the U.S. to complete her residency at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, where she was appointed chief resident. While at the University of Wisconsin, Dr. Garvie-Loveland earned the Bayer resident teaching award, the Peckham teaching award and the AAGL award for excellence in laparoscopic surgical skills. Dr Garvie-Loveland enjoys practicing obstetrics and gynecology because she enjoys the continuity of women's healthcare which incorporates both medical and surgical practices. She has a special interest in minimally invasive surgery, robotic surgery, family planning and perimenopausal health.
