About Ron J. Bahar
Dr. Bahar has been a resident of the San Fernando Valley for nearly twenty years. He was raised in Nebraska, and graduated as Valedictorian of Lincoln Southeast High School. He then graduated Phi Beta Kappa from The University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in zoology before returning to Nebraska to attend Medical School at the University of Nebraska College of Medicine in Omaha. He subsequently graduated with Honors before moving to California. He spent the next six years at UCLA completing a Pediatric Internship and Residency, as well as a Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition Fellowship. He then served for over three years as an attending physician within the Department of Pediatrics at Mattel’s Children’s Hospital on the UCLA campus before starting a private practice in Encino. He remains on UCLA’s faculty as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, and is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in the discipline of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition, and he has hospital privileges and Tarzana Hospital.
Dr. Bahar has numerous publications in the several areas of Pedatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, including irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, and diseases of the liver and the esophagus.

Dr. Bahar is happily married and has two sons, Ethan and Matthew. He enjoys music, exercising, reading, and traveling.
