Leila Bozorgnia, MD

Dr. Leila grew up in Fresno, California.She attended UC, Irvine for her undergraduate degree in the Biological Sciences. She then completed a masters in Applied Physiology at the Rosalind Franklin University of Science & Medicine in Chicago and continued there to complete her medical degree. In 2007, she moved to Los Angeles to complete her residency training at LA-County USC.

All throughout her training Dr. Leila has been involved in research. Dr. Leila believes that critical thinking in medicine is a crucial aspect to optimal care. As an undergraduate,she did gene studies for which she was funded a grant and subsequently published in a scientific journal. In medical school, she was involved in Celiac disease and Irritable bowel disease research at RUSH university in Chicago for which she has been recently published. In residency training Dr. Leila continued her research on Celiac Disease at USC.

After training, she practiced in various private practices and at Kaiser Permanente Urgent care in West Los Angeles. In 2012, she decided to begin her own practice.

Dr. Leila is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She speaks Farsi and Spanish as well.

When she is not practicing Medicine, Dr. Leila’s hobbies include, spending time with her husband and their dog, cooking, running on the beach or the Santa Monica stairs, and Skiing.
