Chrissie Ott, MD

Chrissie (Charlotte) Ott, M.D. is a med-peds physician based in Portland, OR. She has an undergraduate degree in human nutrition from University of Houston, trained at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, for medical school and residency, and is board-certified in both internal medicine and pediatrics. Dr. Ott has received special training in palliative care through Harvard Medical School, is a certified life coach, and has recently undertaken further course work at Stanford’s Chief Wellness Officer training.

"I chose a career in medicine because it offers a unique combination of meaningful work, intellectual challenge, and a path to be of service,” she says.

Dr. Ott has worked in primary care group and solo practice as well as in hospital medicine. She is the medical director for Providence’s Center for Medically Fragile Children where she cares for some of her community’s most vulnerable, and is especially excited about her latest role as a regional leader in well-being work for providers.

“Creating a more sustainable health care environment is one of the most-important things we can do at this time for the future wellbeing of our communities,” says Dr. Ott.

When not in work mode, Dr. Ott enjoys her time cooking, playing with friends, family, and their three dogs.
