Cheryl S. Nelson, LICSW

Cheryl Nelson is a Mental Health Counselor through the Collaborative Care program. She has a Masters in Social Work through Eastern Washington University and worked for DSHS, Child Protective Services for 4 years. Following this work experience she worked as a social worker for a local dialysis clinic for 6 years where she obtained her LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker) designation through Washington State. Cheryl has been working at NEWMG for 2 years and also sees patients in the Chewelah Clinic one afternoon a week. Cheryl enjoys seeing a variety of patients and is able to provide an empathetic and caring ear. She also enjoys working with her fellow Social Workers, clinic staff and co-workers.
