New Faces at CORE: September 2022

We are excited to introduce the newest members of the Center for Outcomes Research and Education (CORE) team: Abby Bush, Kristen Lacijan, and Raven Susu-Mago! 

Abby Bush joins our team as a project manager. Before joining CORE, she served as program manager for Help Me Grow Oregon, supporting families with young children in seamlessly connecting to community services. She also worked at the Oregon Community Foundation in the early childhood program. 

In her free time, Abby can often be found knitting, exploring Portland's amazing food scene, taking in live performances, and getting outdoors with her kiddo. Abby looks forward to helping CORE as we continue our efforts to advance knowledge about the social determinants of health. 

Kristen Lacijan joins CORE as a program manager. Kristen has deep roots in Quality Improvement (QI), research, program evaluation, healthcare transformation, and more. Most recently, she served as manager of the Quality & Analytic Insights team at Health Share of Oregon. She’s also worked extensively as a QI analyst and in program evaluation and other QI roles.

In her spare time she can be found dancing Zumba, chaperoning a high school robotics tournament, trying to put the 'stand' in stand up paddleboarding, and enjoying time outside with her two children. 

Raven Susu-Mago is a student and research intern who will be working with us through the end of 2022 and supporting a variety of CORE projects. She holds a BA in public health and recently finished the first year of her Master's in Public Health degree at OHSU. 

In her spare time, Raven loves playing futsal, climbing, attending concerts, and backpacking and camping in the Pacific Northwest with her (photogenic) pup, Charlie. With CORE, she is particularly excited to contribute to meaningful research that improves health equity and outcomes for vulnerable populations.
