Providence Supportive Housing ministries earn superior ratings

Three Providence Supportive Housing programs, Providence Gamelin House and Providence Peter Claver House located in South Seattle, and Providence Vincent House in downtown Seattle earned Superior ratings from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) following completion of Management and Occupancy Reviews (MOR) at each property. The reviews were conducted by staff from the Denver HUD office.

HUD reviewers commended the program staff for their focus on excellence and for the quality of our housing programs. “Your tenants are in very good hands with you and your staff at the helm and the Providence organization is lucky to have you,” noted Joshua Reynolds, HUD Account Executive.

Management and Occupancy Reviews evaluate multiple facets of affordable housing operations including compliance with federal regulations related to tenant eligibility and management, policies and procedures, financial management, facilities maintenance, and provision of service coordination. “Our on-site management teams are the best in the industry.  These reviews confirm that our department-wide initiatives, policies and procedures enable high performance and transmission of best practices across the portfolio. I am proud of the work we do,” said Leslie Hill, Director of Compliance, Quality & Innovation.”

The Superior rating confirms that residents of Providence Gamelin House, Providence Peter Claver House and Providence Vincent House are receiving the highest quality affordable housing possible.

“Our caregivers work hard to ensure that our housing programs exceed HUD regulations while offering residents a comfortable home.
