About Kavisha Singh
I chose cardiology because it is a dynamic field with rapid developments in available treatments for our patients. I focus on prevention because cardiovascular disease is truly an epidemic and cardiology is one of the few fields where we have powerful preventive treatments. However, if patients do fall sick, then we have a breadth of treatment options for them, from effective medications with long track records all the way to artificial hearts and transplants. It is very gratifying to see patients recover and improve from heart disease and be able to help them at a time when they are vulnerable and sick. My philosophy of care is to try to prevent heart disease with minimizing medication and maximizing lifestyle changes. I have a special interest in women’s cardiovascular health and cardiovascular imaging.
