There are times in the past when I have called to speak to Dr. Barrera and he doesn't return my phone calls. I now send messages to Dr. Barrera via MyChart and he responds in a timely manner. Dr. Barrera's current medical assistant, Sidney, as well as his last medical assistant, Rebecca, have always responded quickly to any of my questions or concerns.

Dr. Barrera is professional, knowledgeable, and works well with patients to help them understand the medical issues.

All my experiences with Dr. Barrera are good as he is very open minded and from the beginning said we would function as a team. This way I can ask him what he thinks of something and if he advises against it he explains why and offers alternatives. He always goes out of his way to help me as he did this last time in agreeing to contact my drug plan about a drug I need that I can't afford to pay cash for and they don't want to pay part of.

Dr Barrera is never rushes my visit. He is most kind and understanding. The most important fact is that is so knowledgeable about my medical conditions and how they relate to my endocrinic issues is most important to me. I can't ask for a better physician.

Dr. Barrera is likely quite busy, but you never feel it as he spends all the time you need to discuss any issues. He is very calming and kind and it's obvious that his patients and staff are comfortable and happy. I'm glad I've been seeing him for over 20 years!

It took 4-5 months to for my appointment. Dr. Barrera is in the clinic only 2 days a week. He made a special effort to get me in sooner. Original appointment scheduled for April. He personally got me in to see him in February. He has always in the past 20 years has made special arrangements to see me STAT if I needed to see him for any current medical issues.
