About Rachel J. Bennett

Dr. Bennett, has always had a strong desire to help others in need. She chose the field of family medicine because she particularly enjoys developing relationships with her patients and caring for them throughout different stages of life. She also has a passion to assist patients seeking gender affirming hormone therapy.

Dr. Bennett emphasizes a preventive and collaborative approach to medical care. “There are often measures that patients can take to stop problems before they start, and I love helping my patients to identify and employ these measures," she says. "I encourage patients to ask questions and be actively engaged in their care."

Raised in Seattle, Dr. Bennett moved to Portland for medical school. After a few years in Southern California, she topped up her vitamin D levels and returned to the Rose City. She currently lives in Northeast Portland with her husband and their twins, as well as their family dog.
