About Jonathan R. Fordyce
Jonathan Fordyce, FNP-C, chose to become a medical provider because he found service to others both rewarding and gratifying. “I have always enjoyed connecting with people and as a provider,” says Fordyce. “I not only get to do this but also help them achieve their best health and wellbeing, I enjoy building relationships with the whole family, including pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.”
He emphasizes the importance of preventative screenings, patient education, and shared patient decision making. Jonathan wants his patients to understand their treatment plan, to communicate their concerns or questions, and know that he is invested in their health and wellbeing.
Jonathan believes his most important role as a provider is to be an educator. Giving his patients the knowledge necessary for them to make informed decisions about their health, and having the tools necessary to understand and overcome their disease.
He earned his Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Austin, he also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Baylor University. He worked on both adult and pediatric surgical/trauma acute care units for 5 years before pursuing a higher degree.
“I strive to always be truly present with my patients and an engaged listener,” says Fordyce. “I want them to know I value their input in the treatment plan and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve their primary healthcare needs.”
His philosophy of care is that a patient has to be treated holistically and both a patient and provider must be invested in the care. He want his patients to always feel comfortable expressing their unique healthcare needs and to know he has their best interest at heart.
Jonathan Fordyce was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. He enjoys trying new and unique restaurants, hiking with his dog, reading nonfiction, and traveling with his husband.

The only thing I realized that night as my gland or whatever it is in back of neck was painful. I was wondering if perhaps the provider should have checked that for normalcy. I was even sicker the next day after our visit and this was part of it. I started to heal afterwards thought. I thought the advice the provider gave me though was great and helpful.
