About Michael D. Goodwin
Dr. Michael Goodwin encourages patients to take preventive steps to help maintain their health. “I emphasize the importance of wellness and prevention of chronic disease through healthy eating, regular exercise, healthy relationships and positive thinking,” he says.
He believes his most important role as a physician is to be an active, effective and compassionate listener. “I develop a relationship with each patient to individualize the care experience as much as possible,” Dr. Goodwin says. “I find when I close my mouth and open my ears, it is easier to determine the most effective way to communicate with a patient."
Dr. Goodwin earned his medical degree from Oregon Health & Science University in Portland. He completed his family medicine residency at Providence Milwaukie Hospital in Portland.
A native Oregonian, Dr. Goodwin enjoys singing, playing the acoustic guitar, hiking, reading, and spending time with his wife and two sons.

Very smooth from beginning to end. Was actually able to see the doctor within an hour of my call. Never even sat down in the lobby before I was called. Dr. Goodwin was very comprehensive with his examination. Walked through multiple possibilities and warned me of what OTC medications to avoid due to my cardiac issues. He ordered labs in an abundance of caution. The more serious possible conditions were ruled out but a few values came in high. He has ordered follow up labs in a month. I am recovering using the suggestions that were recommended. Very happy with the level of care I received. This entire office has been fantastic!
