I have the utmost confidence and trust in Dr. Joshua Bales. My first interaction with him was 9 years ago when he performed surgery on my fractured right Ulna. Since then he has treated me on various occasions for carpal tunnel. He will be performing surgery on me next week for arthritis in the left hand. He is FANTASTIC ! !

This doctor was remarkable in every positive way.

My visit was very pleasant and efficient. The nurse and Dr. Were both great to interact with. There was some confusion when I was trying to schedule my appointment about an additional referral being needed but that was cleared up within a couple of days.

He also referred me for an additional study to specifically find out what's going on with the nerves which impact my hand/arm. Dr. Bales listened, explained, referred, and is willing to perform my hand/wrist surgery. Thank you for seeing me right away, ordering additional studies, explaining what may be causing so much pain-inflammation & swelling.

This is the third provider I've seen from this practice, and by far the best from a patient point of view. Dr Bales is extremely knowledgeable, compassionate, and a great communicator. And unlike another provider in that practice, actually took time to read my medical history before coming through the door. How did I know? He did not suggest anti-inflammatories as a way to deal with pain (I have kidney disease). In contrast to another provider in this practice.

Dr Bales treated me before and after my surgery and I was very pleased with his treatment and professionalism. He listened and gave me the best solution for my need to fix my pain and solution. During my time from beginning and through the whole process of my surgery he explained everything very well as to how my condition would benefit from the surgery. I liked his professional and personality and his staff and would highly recommend him to friends and family.

Dr. Bales is always genuinely personable and caring, up to date on the latest practice guidelines and recommendations and thoroughly explained his rationale for treatment. I have had surgery with him in the past and find him to be professional and very skilled at his craft.

This Dr is the best ortho DR I have ever seen, outstanding bedside manner, extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He Is the only ortho DR I will ever see!!

We like Dr Bales very much

Dr. Bales is a caring, kind, very capable professional. I had a growth under my thumbnail and was waiting for 3 months for the medical community to help me. From all I read, it seemed like cancer might be spreading through my body. I was in a state of real mental anxiety. He confirmed my fears that if it was a malignant tumor, my thumb would have to be amputated and lymph node biopsies and further treatments might be needed. And then he worked his magic and added me on his surgical schedule THAT afternoon! Everyone in his office and the OR downstairs were friendly, helpful, and amazing. Though the OR was in a bit of a frenzy when I arrived before my orders. It was obvious that that kind of thing rarely happens. Mine was a minor surgery compared with others he was doing that day, but my state of mind mattered to him. I give Dr. Bales the highest ratings possible and would recommend him to anyone needing a physician in his expertise.

I have never experienced a clinic that ran as smoothly as this one! I never waited more than 2 minutes for my dr, nurse or x-ray. It was an impressive experience and the office ran very efficiently.

Dr. Bales is very pleasant and it shows he really cares about his patients. Carpel tunnel surgery is really scary to me. Dr. Bales explained the procedure in a way that was comforting and put me at ease with the procedure.

First time seeing this provider, the visit was good, injections needed in hands for arthritis were more painful than before, not saying fault of the provider.

Dr Bales is wonderful. The receptionist or scheduling was extremely poor. It took me 3weeks trying to get an appt. Kept telling me the scheduler would get back to me and they never did. I had to go in a virtually demand an appt with Dr Bales

Dr Bales listened carefully and took seriously the symptoms I had in my wrist and hand, and clearly explained why this was "normal" given my previous injury, and why there was nothing to be done about it unless it became very bothersome. Dr. Bales was so polite and just made me feel comfortable right away. A very kind doctor who set me at ease as he explained the procedure on my hands, really my fingers, replacing my knuckles in the center of my fingers all 4 except my thumbs. I wasn't going to do it if it was metal...Dr. Bale explained, that silicone is used now and some paitents say they would do the surgery over. That sounded good, but what sold me was the transition from metal ( cold and painful ) to silicone ( soft and comfy )...that made me totally relax along with the help of Dr. Bale and I am doing it in the fall.

When calling the first time to make the first appointment the person I talked to wasn't that friendly and told me one thing the next time I called back I was told something different. But Doctor Bales is Amazing. He was very pleasant and honest with us.

Doctors at Kadlec are all professional and they know what they do and I feel safe with most of them, only specialists, of course , are few words , meaning that we cannot ever ask more and time is always limited.
