Christine L. Johnson, MD

Dr. Christine Johnson’s clinic focuses on the evaluation and management of various noncancer blood disorders. She aims to provide the same caliber of expert care for noncancer-related blood conditions as the world-class oncology care Providence Cancer Institute is known for throughout the region. Dr. Johnson brings a breadth of knowledge and advanced diagnostic skills in addition to excellence in teaching and educating both clinicians and patients. In her practice, Dr. Johnson emphasizes good communication and diligence. She strives to develop unique and personal relationships with her patients. “I feel like I am making a significant difference for my patients with each day of work, and I feel privileged to care for them as their physician and advocate,” she says.

After earning her medical degree from the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University, Dr. Johnson completed her internship and residency at the University of Virginia and her fellowship in hematology and oncology at the University of North Carolina. Dr. Johnson was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. When not in the clinic, she enjoys exploring the Pacific Northwest with her husband and two sons.
