About Kenneth L. Rexinger
Dr. Rexinger has been on staff, practicing internal medicine at Mission Hospital since 1992. He grew up here in Mission Viejo, and attended Capo Valley High School, then went on to La Sierra Campus of Loma Linda University for a Bachelor’s degree in Human Biology. He attended medical school at Loma Linda University, graduating in 1989, and went on to specialize in internal medicine at the University Medical Center. He moved back to San Clemente in 1992 and started practicing with his father, Elwyn Rexinger.
He has been active staff at Mission Hospital since '92, and has served on at least one committee per year since joining the medical staff. He has been chief of staff, chief of utilization review, credentials committee, chairman of medicine, and presently chief of quality review. He was the attending physician for the hospitals weight loss program and the executive physical program for 10 years. He has served on St Joseph’s leadership council for several years, as well as the Board of Trustees for Mission hospital for 6 years, and now sits on the foundation board. Mission Hospital is a home away from home as he started rounding with his dad back in 1972, and many of his family members work here.
He loves spending time with his family, wife Lisa, son Matthew, and daughter Hannah. He plays golf and collects Bichons.
