Felicia A. Ferguson, MD

The admiration that Felicia Ferguson, M.D., had for her physician father inspired her to enter the field of medicine. "I decided to become a physician because it seemed like it would be an interesting and challenging career," she says. In her practice, Dr. Ferguson works to optimize health outcomes for patients and emphasizes communication. "The longer I am in practice, the more I realize how important it is to build a partnership with my patients. I see my role as providing guidance and recommendations based on my experience, and then working with each individual to find their path forward." Dr. Ferguson received her medical degree from the University of Washington and completed her residency at Oregon Health and Science University. From there, she completed an internship at University of California, Davis, and a neurology fellowship at Oregon Health & Science University. Dr. Ferguson is board certified in neurology. Born in Kansas City, Kansas, Dr. Ferguson has now lived all over the U.S. She has been in the Pacific Northwest since 1988 and says it feels most like home. She is married with two children who have both been raised in Portland.
