About James V. Phan
Dr. James Phan is a pediatrician with St. Jude Heritage Medical Group practicing in Yorba Linda, CA. He finds that the most compelling part of pediatrics is preventative medicine: providing “a total package of care” to improve the quality of life. He believes in providing a broad range of care, such as the importance of immunizations, nutrition, exercise, sports, safety, and achieving developmental milestones. He enjoys being part of all stages of life, starting from newborns, following children through their developmental milestones, being a role model to teenagers, and providing reassurance and education to parents.

Dr. Phan is a strong believer in work-life balance. He maintains his strength and energy by continuing to do the activities he loves, including playing tennis, exercising, and engaging in other fitness-related activities. He also enjoy cooking and learning about nutrition. Most importantly, he makes time for his family and friends.

We requested bloodwork per my son's cross country coach's recommendation. He has had bouts of extreme fatigue and stomach issues that were not present when we last had bloodwork done. Dr. Phan didn't order the bloodwork stating that it would be too soon between labs. I tried to insist that we had new issues and would like to compare, but he didn't seem to think it was necessary.
