About Jaspreet K. Kaler
Dr. Kaler chose the field of rheumatology because of the diverse group of diseases and varying clinical manifestations that it offers. As a Rheumatologist, she has the privilege of managing chronic conditions and forming meaningful relationships with her patients. She works to help patients understand their disease while helping them achieve an improved quality of life despite these chronic illnesses. Dr. Kaler has a special interest in management of autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, myositis, systemic sclerosis and musculoskeletal ultrasound. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, skiing and traveling.

I was able to schedule an appt with Dr. Kaler a month earlier than expected due to a cancellation from another patient. I was grateful to be able to have this earlier appointment because for 3 1/2 months have been experiencing high pain levels that seemed to NOT be responding to the methotrexate medication that was prescribed by my previous Rheumatologist, who is retiring. My experience has improved from my last visit. When you are first diagnosed or flagged with an autoimmune disorder, it's scary, confusing, with a lot of new information to digest and accept. Having a doctor with a patient, friendly, and professional attitude is extremely important in these situations. My second visit with Dr Kaler was a major improvement from the first. I felt listened to, I didn't feel rushed, I felt we went over everything more thoroughly, and most important I felt cared for. Happy to report I had a positive experience and am glad I gave her a second chance.

Dr. Kaler has been consistently thorough and correct in the diagnosis of RA shown in one hand and then within this past year determined to either be in remission or gone. At my appointment last week it appears to be gone and she will ask to see me in a year unless the symptoms return.

Although the information may have been the same, it was frustrating not having answers or getting conflicting opinions on my symptoms.
