In My Chart I asked the PA some questions about interpretation of the CPAP titration numbers. Staff called and said that the answers required a video visit w Dr. Tammelin. During the call he did not provide the interpretation. I asked him about the expression on his face. He said, "I'm amused." I asked by what. He said, "Your ignorance." I agreed that I was ignorant, and that was why I was seeking information from him. After some frustrating back and forth in which he pseudo referred me to UC Irvine (I say pseudo-referred because he said more than once "have them put a catheter in your arm" in a way that seemed more like he thought I should be punished, then he thought it would be an effective referral) I tried to bring the conversation to a semi-graceful end, briefly referring to the role that an informed patient plays, and thanking him for his time. To that he responded, "Are you reading from Chat GPT? Is that artificial intelligence?" seemingly disbelieving that I could speak in a smooth and connected manner all on my own! Finally, he said, " The nightmare is over." I asked him what nightmare he was talking about. I said I had not experienced our interaction as a nightmare. He said, "It's a joke. I'm quoting that politician, you know. Our long national nightmare is over." The whole thing was extremely uncomfortable. If the doctor did not want to respond to my questions, why schedule and bill a 40-minute video call? I really value the competence and kindness of pulmonology at Mission, and the other specialists that I've seen. Mission hospital has saved my life, and that of family members. So I have a high level of loyalty. But I don't think I can go back to the Mission sleep lab.

Dr. Tammelin is one of the best doctors I've ever had is always very attentive in his treatments have always been very effective. I feel very grateful to have a doctor like Dr. Tammelin.

Dr Tammelin goes out of his way to help me as does his office. He had me schedule a mask fitting appointment which went great and told me exactly what to tell the supply provider to get it in a faster manner. I am very happy with this practice.

Dr. Tammelin is a great doctor, sees the while person and is most encouraging. His sharp eye and mind discovered a rare condition and basically saved my life! I'm so grateful for his outstanding care.
