Dr Hwu is a caring, competent physician. I appreciate very much being one of his patients

Dr. Hwu cares about me as a person and my health. He actively listens to what I have to say. He orders tests for chronic conditions I have where I want to stop taking a prescription medication for to see if that's possible. He doesn't shoot down my suggestions or concerns about my health. A genuine person who genuinely cares about me!

Seemed rushed.I was sent for exrays. They were closing early and would not do yhe xrays. I was leaving town for a week. Also confusion on how to schedule prp treatment.

Dr. Hwu sent a message in my chart to see how I was doing after I saw him for the injury. He is very nice and a good provider.

Excellent clinician

With each visit that I have with Dr. Hwu I gain greater confidence in that I will be treated with dignity and respect. He is a knowledgeable and thoughtful provider who communicates with me with respectful intentions of ensuring that I understand what he recommends and prescribes for the best outcome. He listens to my concerns and responds respectfully and appropriately to how I treat my body. He is in my opinion one of the best professional doctors that I have met and I deeply appreciate his willingness to support my medical journey.

This visit I feel wasn't made as urgently as I felt it should have been. Provider was professional and thorough. But the last couple of times to the doctor I don't feel they listen to me about my body when it comes to their diagnosis.

I am a relatively new patient to this clinic and this provider. (This was only my second time meeting with Dr. Hwu.) I came from a small, more personal clinic and I am still having a little difficulty getting used to a larger, more impersonal clinic. I was with my former doctor for about 30 years before he retired a year ago and I miss him tremendously, so please bear with me - it is not that I don't like this clinic and this doctor, I am just trying to adjust.

I was grateful to see a sports medicine specialist for my knee pain. The provider was thorough, responsive and knowledgeable, treating the current pain and limitation as well as discussing options to Improve the functioning of my aging knee. I really appreciate the care I received.

This is the second time that I have been seen by Dr. Hwu and his care team. Both times have been exceptional and I feel confident and at ease enough with Dr. Hwu that I have chosen him as my primary care physician due to my previous PCP leaving. Dr. Hwu is a fabulous listener and is very respectful. His level of understanding and knowledge and the ability to communicate clearly what my options are and listen to any concerns I have, has allowed me to choose him to be an important part of my healthcare team.

Dr. Hwu is the best primary care provider that I have had in my adult life. He is kind and compassionate and an excellent listener. I have since requested him as a primary care physician for my husband, as well.

Dr. Huw has is knowledgable, kind, compassionate and concerned. He is an excellent communicator. The tests he administered were thorough. He did not rush the appointment. He referred me to PT and OT, which will help me recover from my mild TBI.

Dr. Hwu is great care provider.

This was my initial consultation to establish a primary physician. The process of establishing the appointment was quite burdensome and time consuming as it took six months from the time I requested the appointment until it was scheduled. Once the consultation occurred, I was thoroughly impressed with Dr. Hwu's knowledge of my health needs, and plans for addressing them. Following completion of lab work, he immediately communicated with me regarding the results, and plans for future treatment. At the Bridgeport clinic, I found the layout to be very confusing with no central information desk, and multiple providers.

I especially appreciate Dr. Hwu's clear and informative after-visit report. It included pertinent details that were very helpful in my making informed decisions about my healthcare options. It would not be possible for me to remember these important details as I tried to digest the information afterwards. I am also grateful for my healthcare team at Providence Bridgeport to arrange the timely appointment with Dr. Hwu to seek his much needed medical opinion.

My visit on this date was to transition from one clinic to this one. Dr was great- took the time with me, my file and current issues are complex but he made me feel like we can tackle these issues together.
