About Dale G. Parks
Dr. Parks and his former partner were the first two board certified ob-gyns in Marina Del Rey when they started Marina Women’s Medical Group. After over 20 years Dr. Parks and his new associate are the first two board certified ob-gyns in Playa Vista. As an OB resident Dr. Parks published the landmark article “Macrosomia: A Proposed Indication for Primary Cesarean Delivery.” Over time macrosomia has now been accepted as a valid reason to perform a cesarean section to prevent birth injury. Dr. Parks has published his research on the nontraditional treatment of genital herpes and menopausal hot flashes. He is the author of the chapter on genital herpes in the textbook Current Clinical Practice: Sexually Transmitted Diseases. He has done research and published articles regarding HPV infections, vaginal yeast infections, gonorrhea, vulvar lichen sclerosis, choriocarcinoma, endometriosis and water intoxication. He presented his proposal to increase the number of unwanted newborns who are safely surrendered and reduce the death rate of abandoned newborns to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He has received excellence in teaching awards from the departments of OB-GYN at both UCLA Harbor General and UCLA Westwood. He has served as volunteer Medical Director at Westside Family Health Center in Santa Monica. The clinic has honored him with the D. Gene Parks Community Service Award which is given annually to individuals or groups recognized for their community service. He has received commendation from the LA County Board of Supervisors, California State Senate and California State Assembly for his community service to the women of LA County.

Dr. Park is not the primary for the problems I was experiencing. Since I had seen him in the past when my primary was out of the office I requested him for this visit. The location is convenient as well. I have considered changing my care Dr. Park because I really like the care and his bedside manner
